Rodri, a Spain midfielder, will miss his country’s final Euro 2024 group stage match against Albania.
This is after he received his second yellow card in as many games. Rodri was booked in La Roja’s 1-0 victory over Italy after protesting to the referee.
The 27-year-old received a yellow card since only the team captain is entitled to talk with the referee.
He will now be sidelined for Monday’s match against Albania after being booked in the 3-0 win against Croatia.
The regulation was implemented during Euro 2024 in an effort to reduce players swarming the referee during decisions.
