Arsenal veteran Paul Merson has slammed Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, claiming the Argentine is unaware of his best players at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino, according to Merson, is experiencing the same issues as former Chelsea managers Graham Potter and Frank Lampard did at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino’s squad has struggled this season, currently sitting in 14th place in the Premier League table after losing their previous home game against Aston Villa.
“Nothing has changed; the three football matches they’ve won in 21 have been against Bournemouth the week after they were promoted [last season], Wimbledon in the cup, and Luton.” “No disrespect to Luton Town, but you expect to beat them at home,” Merson told Sky Sports (as quoted by The Mirror).
“He [Pochettino] has the same problem as the previous two Chelsea managers – Potter and Lampard – he doesn’t know who his best team is.”
