Tuchel spoke in German and stated: “Last night, very late, I received a push message on my phone with the news.
“In the end, the timing was pretty bad because it happened shortly after I took over here and the position of Chelsea’s next coach is now open.
I took a long time to separate myself from Chelsea.
“I had a great time working there and made lifelong friends.
“It was an extremely stressful period.
But, because of the significant changes to the club, it was simpler for me to maintain some separation between myself and the club, which prevented it from evoking strong feelings in me.
Last week, Tuchel took over for Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern, and his fellow German manager is now being connected to Chelsea.
Yet if he does become the newest manager to occupy the Stamford Bridge hot seat, Tuchel won’t be offering his compatriot any advice.
“He doesn’t need my advise, that won’t happen,” he continued.
I don’t need to offer any guidance because the club has changed while I was a member.
