Erling Haaland update amid Arsenal Premier League title boost

Erling Haaland, the great striker for Manchester City, sustained a minor groin injury.

Haaland withdrew from the Norwegian team for the next Euro 2024 qualifiers with Spain and Georgia after experiencing some soreness in his groin during City’s 6-0 FA Cup quarterfinal victory against Burnley on Saturday. In a statement, the Norwegian FA acknowledged that the early examinations indicated the lethal finisher would require some time in the hospital.

Erling Braut Haaland complained of groin soreness following the encounter against Burnley, according to the statement. We hoped that this would only be a temporary familiarity that would last until Saturday. The midfielder may yet be able to play in the pivotal Premier League match against Liverpool in just ten days, according to City, who do not think the injury to be catastrophic.

Despite having played one fewer game than the north Londoners, Pep Guardiola’s team is eight points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal and is in desperate need of a victory against the Reds. A match between the two championship contenders is still scheduled for this season at the Etihad Stadium, with Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Arsenal, returning on April 27.

Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, and of course Haaland scored in the rematch at the Emirates, which the visitors won 3-1. Haaland has scored an incredible 28 goals in just 26 league games this season.
